Context: this is a paper written by a Champlin Park English Teacher, it is really great in it's Rhetorical elements however it pose a great question and argument. Which is : Does having a white teacher in a class that is really diverse affect the learning of the students of color? I not trying to make this a race issue but this does affect it. His evidence is from his own experience in high school, college, and as a teacher of color.
There is that one thing that that one teacher talked about, how if you're reminded of your race, then you tend to do things that your race is bad at, badly. (very stupid, general description yes, sorry) but i think its a valid point to research, however it doesn't quite make sense to all of a sudden group all the black kids and all the white kids with the black/white teacher, because where would diversity go? I think the question is how do we deal with diversity? i also want to know how long ago his personal experience was because i think times have changed drastically from even 5 years ago - there is so much more acceptance of diversity because kids don't know the difference because that's how they were raised.
